hey.. festive mood really getting to me.. or should i say the food.. :| wow.. the food is just great... yum yum.. so is the money.. heh.. but yes, meeting relatives is a nice thing.. despite seeing them once a year.. it was a long day of visiting today.. well.. today i met my maternal grandma.. and on the first day of raya, we went to her place but she wasn't in.. so my auntie passed us our packets.. instead of finding the usual cash in there, me and my sisters found rings instead. i mean.. it was pretty scary. It was as if she was giving us the rings to "leave something behind" kind of thing.. my mom got a wrapped up present. She opened it tenderly only to find a box which she recognised to be the one her grandma had passed on the her mom.. and now her mom (my grandma) was passing on to her. inside the box was the handkerchief that my mom would give to my grandma when she was little.. it was such a sweet gesture but at the same time, poignant. well... i'll treasure seeing my relatives. sure you see them once a year.. but this may be the last year seeing some of them.. blood is thicker than water and you know family will always be there for you... well it's more visiting tomorrow... *pats tummy adoringly* haha... i'm beat.. nighty night..
"you came along just like a song
and brightened my day...
who'd believe that you were part of a dream
now it all seems light years away.."
