I grew up in Singapore, lived in Melbourne but currently call London home. I love gastronomic adventures, especially while travelling. I stated writing at 17 to remember how it all began.

2.12pm; saturday

the weekend! it's all mine and so is the week ahead :) i need this break and yet there is so much work to do. oh well, i'll cope, somehow. on thursday we went to "the impressionists" exhibition at ngv. we stayed on till about midnight looking at all the paintings. it was really enthralling. you find yourself looking at the works of renoir, monet, sisley and van gogh and think to yourself... that like you, they must have also stood before their painting and marvelled at their piece of work. and you're not the only one awestruck, looking earnestly at the gleaming paintings, everyone else around you is equally enraptured. i don't profess to comprehend the artistry behing the stroke of each brush that paints a picture, but i do understand the emotions that inundates you with each painting. i loved "starry night by the rhone" :)


it's a sleepover at venetia's tomorrow. we'll watch dvds watch australian idol and all us girls will have a fantabulous weekend :) poor andy has 21km to run. good luck man. after this weekend, it'll be hell week. essays to be penned and tests to study for. bah. *fingers crossed* i'll enjoy the weekend for now. you too.
