i'm back in melbourne. timetable slots are out tomorrow and lets hope they don't screw me over with a 5 day week. hmm, i can't quite get to sleep just yet, after all it's only 10 past 9 back in s'pore no? did i ever mention i love the city? i love looking out of my window to see a silhouette of buildings illuminated in lights. there's nothing quite like it. summer holidays has been great- magic moments, times that we've been sharing. apart from the euphoria, i've seen my friends lend me their shoulders when i needed so badly to cry and their ears everytime i needed to rant. and so i left feeling alomost unsettled, wishing that i could be there for those people as they had been for me. and after a restless flight, i was eager to get back for a shower and a good nap. then as the plane prepared for descent, i saw the horizon. i wish there was someway i could have encapsulated that moment on my camera better. we were just above the sea of clouds, aquiline peak of the mountains etching into the red azure. as we sank beneath the expanse of clouds, i almost told myself to hold my breath as we went under.. submerged in the greyness of the clouds that became so thick that after a while, all i could see was my own reflection in the window. and before i could be lost in my own thoughts, i was greeted by lights scattered over land, and then some sparse bulbs of light illuminating the sea. it probably doesn't sound like much, but i felt an incredible sense of calm, knowing that i just might be alright on my own here despite what has happened. to my best friend, girlfriends, dear friends.. thanks, for being there for me.
