11.25am; sunday

moomba festival! :) went to federation square for the moomba festival and it was sooo nice! i love carnivals/ theme parks. there's something about the bright lights, the exhiliration from the screaming rides of people and kiddywinks with sticky hands from cotton candy that endear to me. and you find people with soft toys so big they prop dear kermit the frog on their shoulders or drag scooby doo around. and the incredible hubbub falls silent as the night sky lights up in an effervesence of stars bursting into a dazzling display of fireworks. everyone stood awestruck by the banks of the yarra mesmerised by such transient and fleeting beauty. i quickly reminded myself after a few photos to put my camera down and see the night for what it really was, magic.. the kind that could never be captured through the aperture of any viewfinder.
