it's easter and there's a one week break ahead. i told myself that i'll catch up on all the backlog and try to reaffirm everything that has been studied the last 4 weeks. it's only been a month of school but i can't help feeling jaded and helpless hopeless. i recluse myself to my room, pile the books and cases to be ploughed through.. and yet i never quite get through them. i think i'm trying as hard and as best as i can... i know it'd be so much better if i could meet up with the girls back home. i do love it here, but sometimes you can feel so weighed down. i wish i was as good at law as much as i loved it. i suppose everyone's grappling with it but while you wait anxiously for test results and with all the papers to write i am extremely afraid that i won't be able to do as well as i want to. sometimes you can't make it on your own.

"someday i'll wish upon a star and wake up
where the clouds are far behind me.
where troubles melt like lemon drops,
away above the chimney tops that's where you'll find me.
somewhere over the rainbow blue birds fly
birds fly over the rainbow, why oh why can't i?"
-somewhere over the rainbow, ella fitzgerald
