12.35pm; sunday
took a break before the whole week of studying/ mugging for the exams starts. went to mt dandenongs to usher in spring with mez. the tulip festival was over but i'm glad i still went though, at least i didn't have to bother about too many people crowding the area. mez and me walked around the tulips/ poppies/ daffodils and spent the entire sunny afternoon going into little shops. some quaint, some beautiful. i bought a teapot-cuppa and a strainer (see pics!) amongst other bagful of trinkets. beautiful drive, sunnies in tow and great company made my day. everything was a full display of colour and the air up in the dandenongs was crisp. photos taken with the phone camera don't do justice and am pretty cheesed off i left the lomo back in sg. but oh well, it was splendid nonetheless to bask in warm weather that makes your cheeks go hot and yet the lilting cool breeze scented with the smell of bloom would gently caress your neck. back to the city, a great dinner at banana palm with real malay food (finally) and i'm all raring to go for the exams, i hope.

"but nothing cures the hurt you,
you bring on by yourself just remembering,
just remembering how we were...
when we would only need each other, we breathed together
our hands will not be taught to hold another's
we were the special two.."
- missy higgins, the special two
