11.01pm; monday
and with all the hubbub finally dying down, its time i put a decent post up. it's been a hazy crazy last 2 weeks and it's good that things are slowing down. here it is, randomly, pictures that more or less sum everything up, well almost-

little india day
after our yoga, nic and me met up with kin and trotted down to little india for a session of rupini's, dosai and lots and lots of walking (and whinging). it's just the humidity and the glare of the scorching sun that gets to me lah. pics thanks to nic :)

back to cedar
it was weird, quite literally, taking that (albeit cliched) walk down memory lane. the surroundings had changed so much. cedar ave was filled with construction work and the school looked well, different. i walked around cedar and kept picturing some memory or other and before long, i was back in the sports hall panting my lungs out trying to last through the match. the juniors level of play was not bad at all and it was so good to reminisce and cringe at those days where we trained our hearts and sweat glands out.

indoor picnic
it was syarifah, yaqin and izati over at my house for an indoor picnic. the picninc throw with the bright splashes of plates and cups had us languishing about lazily on the couches- talking, giggling and chatting away just like old times. a couple of episodes of 'friends' later we found ourselves up in my room far too full from the potato salad(!) and even so, we had somehow decided and readied for dessert at siglap. so over tea and cake we watched the night go by...

let the games begin
we went old school- playing hangman, with kin and nic taking forever to figure out 'rebel without a cause' and almost had all their skeleton up. they ganged up on me for sure in 'uno' pulling out each of their draw fours making me draw bloody eight cards. and it was at five stones that i realised i have very poor psycho-motor skills. with my hand eye co-ordination very much like that of someone who had flippers for hands and eyes at the back of their heads, i felt very helpless. er nicole, 15 tries is really okay lah :))

sister's wedding

and then the big day came. running errands, going mad for about a month making preparations with my mom came to fruition when in the 3 days, the wedding unfolded. with the solemnisation ceremony at home on fri, the bride's wedding dinner on saturday and groom's reception on sunday it was tiring but really, really amazing--

much thanks to nic, zq, kin (esp for helping me out), jh, jolene, andy, rohai and eng tat for coming on saturday and making everything just splendid. i know i whinge a lot but with the culmination of things and spending such special moments with family and great friends brings great, great contentment. AND sooch, thanks for coming over yesterday and staying so late despite your camp, for texting and calling me today.

some forever not for better, some have gone and some remain
all these places had their moments, with lovers and friends i still can recall.."
