having an aching wisdom tooth is a damned-if-you-do-damned-if-you-don't situation. don't get it extracted and you face the constant fear of it acting up every now and then; which for me can be quite inconvenient, if i find that it gets too painful and needs to be extracted, when in melb. and yet, getting it extracted when the aching is in one of its lull periods is really looking for pain. i ran out of excuses to give my dad and so had it extracted today. AND BOY DOES IT HURT. amidst the yanking, drilling and stitching perhaps my saving grace was that-- 1, i had my trusty iPod to drown out the anxiety and drilling noise. 2, local anaesthesia made things that much more bearable. 3, got the sutures that dissolve. other than that, i'll be in considerable pain for the next couple of days. so a pint of haagen dazs' choc choc chip would be great thanks.

was talking to a girl, joyce, in french class today. was nice to find someone studying in melb as well and we talked about starting the new sem. i don't know why, but each time, it gets harder and harder to fly back. the only good thing i suppose is enjoying the last bit of summer and most of all, autumn. tres difficile.

"When autumn comes, it doesnt ask.
It just walks in, where it left you last.
And you never know, when it starts
until there's fog inside the glass around your summer heart"
