saturday; 3.01am

jess had her 24th bday party tonight and being the silly shmuck that i am, i left the camera on the table when i was rushing. and when i stepped into the club, they played "staying alive" and some of the guys did the whole travolta sat night fever routine. hah. but it made my night when they played "i want you back". it was such a laugh to see everyone singing along and throwing heads back in laughter, enoying the song immensely. well at least i did.

on another note, it was an unusually foggy night. i didn't realise how foggy it was until the cabdriver drove all the way down to swanston and queensbury that i realised how poor visibility was (and that we were going the wrong way). i asked him whether the nights were usually this foggy and he said this is probably the foggiest he's seen the city in years. i lamented at the thought it was going to be a cold winter and he says, "it's going to be really dry too" *sigh*. when i left jess' party, and stepped out in the cold with the wind piercing my cheeks, i winced and ran for a cab.

so here i am now, waiting for the last few minutes for "butch cassidy & the sundance kid" to be done downloading while i finish off left over shepherd's pie i made from last night's dinner. i'm sleepy but relieved that i finally handed in the take home exam for law of the seas. but the thought of the entire weekend with consti and property makes me wince, even more than the cold wind did.
