random thoughts.. 1. finally back in melbourne! it's good to be back and the weather has been gorgeous. nice and sunny but a cool breeze blows every now and then to keep things perfect. you know summer is here when you pack away the duvets and bring out the thin cotton blankets instead.
2. summer school has been alright so far but the laptop i use for school crashed on me and i'm not too keen on lugging the one at home for classes because it's too chunky and heavy :( civil procedure is turning out alright but i've been forewarned by friends who swore they wanted to put a gun to their heads so i'll just be patient with it.
3. arena (cable channel) was showing s3 of entourage and johnny drama was hilarious in this ep.
4. checked out the dfo (direct factory outlet) opposite my place after class on thursday and bought heaps of stuff. they had peter alexander (yay!) and so got some cotton sleepwear for the summer. the best part was sheridan. i got a set of egyptian cotton bedsheets + pillow cases, another set of prussian blue bedsheets + pillow cases and a bath + face towel, all for under a $100 (!!). yay.
5. i'm craving right now for a bun from st leaven's back in sg. it's a blueberry and camembert bun. when i bought it back then, everytime i took a bite into the crisp crust of the freshly baked bread, the blueberry would ooze out and the camembert complimented it oh so well. yum.
6. work starts next week. let's hope i don't stuff up *crosses fingers*
7. the foxtel guy came over this morning to swop the analogue for the digital set top. i have no idea how to programme it and have it tape all my favourite shows. foxtel guy and i ended up talking about religion, politics and my obssessive need to be in control all the time. one of the most insightful and surprising conversations i've had in a real long time.
8. i woke up at 11 this morning and totally missed out on going down to get tickets for john mayer (yes, again) when he comes in april. scalpers make you pay way too much (and i'm a sucker when i'm desperate for tickets) on ebay and i don't think watching him in vodafone arena will be any good. he's more of an intimate-spaces-performer kinda guy. well, that's what i'm trying to convince myself with at least.
9. summer activity-- surfing or tennis? what do you think?
10. continuum has been on loop for about 3 weeks now. i have to wean off it before it becomes an overkill. but everytime i listen to each song for the hundredth time, i get something different out of it.
