had my first class for wto law today. realised i was the only undergrad in a room full of masters and juris doctor(JD) students. but i am really enjoying it so far. however, the research assignments, etc that lies ahead do look very daunting.
and, i went for cirque du soleil's varekai earlier tonight. met the crew at oxfam and we headed for dinner at a local pub around the corner. the pub used to be a house (ages ago) and it was so quaint but a really nice place all at the same time. we then made our way to melb park and under the grand chapiteau, the lot of about 25 of us sat there in awe as the performers twirled and spun about in aerial acrobatic displays. it was theatrical and the music complemented everything so well. it was so good we got a sneak preview with opening night only being tomorrow (i'm not a big fan of crowds). but watching the different acts, the unfolding of the love story interspersed with bits of physical comedy, i felt all child-like watching in amazement, at the circus.
and as we were walking back along the river towards the city, i noticed how the bright lights of the city skyline was reflected in the river. it was the prettiest thing and i was telling barbara that tonight at least, like the little prince, i would have said that the picture was a snake and not a hat.
