i was quite literally blown away today. it was unbelievably windy so much so that as i was making my way across the lawns, i found myself being thrust forward when a huge gust of wind blew. opening doors were such a task as the winds blew them shut. i found myself staggering (i kid you not) against the wind and when it was blowing from behind, you find yourself on tip-toe every now and then as you're blown off-balance. howling winds aside, miriam and me were making tea yesterday afternoon, and she decided to bring the teaspoon back with her into the research room instead of leaving it in the kitchen. i asked her why and she told me that she was saving the chocolate that I had given her earlier for this. alright kids, so this is how you have a satisfyingly good cuppa tea on a cold afternoon--
  1. make your preferred cup of tea, whatever strikes your fancy- earl grey/ darjeeling/ black?
  2. add sugar and a good glug of milk (doesn't work as well without it really)
  3. put the bit of chocolate on your teaspoon and while still holding the teaspoon, gently submerge that piece of choc in the tea. wait patiently for the heaven that awaits
  4. when the chocolate is slightly melted, scoop some tea along with the chocolate onto the teaspoon and into your mouth.
  5. now how good was that? seriously.
"in between, what I find is pleasing and I'm feeling fine"
