There’s the general dread that the exams are imminent juxtaposed with the sense of triumph that comes from the graduating seniors in uni these days. There’s photo-taking in the basement for the valedictory yearbook with the usual barbeque out on the lawns but just a few metres away in the library, many of us are slaving away to the wafting smells of grilled onions and sausages.

I went for the hons thesis talk and it's looking tricky with my graduating in july instead of the usual november and this means i have to get approval from the faculty to get my paper graded earlier. If I get it, I might be giving Prato up and will be returning from Vis to 2 months of research and thesis writing :( So much for the finishing off uni with a 3 month sojourn of Europe. hmm, but i'll see how it goes, rach has me (partially) convinced that law at prato will be like no other and they're offering anti-trusts law which is something i've been wanting to do but never could because it wasn't offered at an undergrad level. Oh well, but i'm sure administratively things will crap out on me and I won't have to make a decision.

anyway, i'm really excited for the people around me. i have 2 friends who got selected for the Castan Centre Global Internship Programme. There's one who got picked to go to new york for an internship with HR First and I actually applied (but didn't get) for that one too because they do such amazing work. Then another was selected to join the Aust delegation to the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva next year. And I just heard this morning that a really good friend got an offer from Bloomberg in Sg. I am genuinely very glad for all of them and it's very heartening when they express just as much glee when they hear about Vis. I think it 's the sense when you know we're all at the cusp of possibly doing some amazing things that really excites me but then the take home exam sitting on my desk bursts my bubble. And so before any more talk of plans ensue i'm off to figure out bill of ladings and letters of credit. in the mean time, i'll wait impatiently.
