I've been incredibly busy, the good kind, since I last wrote and I guess I'm taking a moment to pause for a while. I was driving along today when I noticed the salmon- pink hues of the sky against the setting sun. The park I was driving by was cast aglow in this warm light and it reminded me of that park I walked along in Prague. And that sense of contentment and peace that I had felt then also washed over me.
Since I last wrote I... +officially finished law school (!) + turned twenty-three + finished off an internship + had Mim visit from Melbourne + had an amazing trip to Cambodia + reconnected with my closest friends + got my room in Sg redone + flew back to melbourne for 3 weeks.
Upon being back in Melbourne I... + surprised the Vissies at a dinner to much squeals and we all danced the night away + spent a lot of days in agony over graduate visa applications + was informed by my lawyers that on the bridging visa I will be placed on(pending approval of my graduate visa) restricts travel outside Australia; +consequently realised I will be staying in Melbourne for another 6 months when only 2 months ago let go of my apartment, shipped all my stuff back to Sg, etc.
This week I... + went toboganning at lake mountain, sank knee-deep in the fresh snowfall, sipped on hot chocolate while snow fluttered on my eyelashes + applied for college of law; + found an amazing townhouse in Northcote to live in + got wind of a really cool job opportunity, interviewed for it and got it (!) + will go away for the weekend to Daylesford + wrote long letters. Next week I will... + move furniture into my new place with Mim + start the new job + dress up for my last law ball + have to start editing my hons thesis if I ever want to get it published + check my old letter box for your postcard.
