The weather is finally looking much better and I'm hoping it will hold up for tennis later. It was pissing down with rain yesterday and it felt like winter with the temperature falling to 9 degrees and the rain and winds lashing . We all tugged at our scarves around our neck and sloshed about the puddles in our boots. At one point, while walking through the city hail suddenly pelted down on us. There was a cacophony of noise as hail ricocheted off cars and the ground and as we walked on hurriedly, you felt the tiny bits of ice crunch under your feet- it was like walking on a carpet of snowcones. But once Rach, Fran and me found ourselves in the warmth of replete providore for brunch it was all good because we sat there whiling the time away till we were stuffed.
I tried pacing myself because there was still Thanksgiving dinner that evening and I think I managed really well. Erica outdid herself this year with 2 types of stuffing and best yet, 2 types of pie (!)- pumpkin pie and pecan pie. There was the moist turkey with cranberry sauce drizzled with gravy all over and the corn bread stuffing that tasted so good. We sat around the table in the warm glow of candle light talking and revelling the whole night long. We carved up the turkey for leftovers and there was the wishbone. I made my wish and tugged at it hard and found myself with the bigger piece and hopefully a wish granted. I guess only time will tell.
When College of Law gives me the shits it's the weekends that keep me sane. I have a trust accounting test tomorrow, 2 practice hearings to prepare for, a whole host of other annoying assessments and worst of all, I can't be bothered about it all. I have never been so cranky about law before :( Just two more months of College of Law and by May I will (hopefully) be at the Supreme Court getting admitted. Boy oh boy.
