sunday; 12.33pm Best meals I've had recently, in no order of merit:
1) Warm baked apple pie with fresh cream and cinnamon ice cream from Dudok, The Hague (where: Hofweg 1, 2511 AA, Den Haag, The Netherlands. Nearest tram station, Spui)
2) Half a dozen fresh rock oysters at the Harrods Foodhall, London (where: 87 brompton Rd London, SW 31, United Kingdom. Nearest tube station, Knightsbridge)
3) Freshly made Belgian waffled drizzled with chocolate from a street vendor (where: somewhere across the road from Meir 4, 2000, Antwerpen, Belgium).
4) Tapas at Ceveseria Catalana in Barcelona (where: Carrer de Mallorca 236, 08008 Barcelona, Spain. Nearest rail station, Passeis de Gràcia)
5) Poffertjes from Het Gulden ABC in Delft (where: Markt 34, 2611 Delft, The Netherlands. Nearest train station, Delft raillway stn)
I must say with some measure of certainty that I can be fastidiously fussy and so every place on the list above is absolutely deserved. I'm looking forward to adding to this list in the coming months. I'd also love to receive suggestions- will travel for (good) food- as long as it is within Europe!
