Tuesday, 10.10pm

I came home yesterday from work feeling every joint in my body ache and  I barely mustered the energy to take my boots off and quickly crawled under the covers.  I woke up a couple of hours later and managed to have some muesli for dinner before popping some pills and crashing back to bed.

Despite still feeling a little woozy, I am glad I've been seeing my friends.  I saw the Vis girls on Friday night and we reminisced and updated each other on our lives.  These girls never fail to be supportive, honest and generous.

I also went to a wedding of a colleague over the weekend.  It was intimate and elegant.  She looked absolutely gorgeous and I simply could not be happier for her.

These are the moments that collectively makes a lifetime of memories.  Sitting in a backyard under the blankets over conversation and cheese, watching a friend exchange vows with her husband-to-be and realising more than ever that life is what you make of it.  And if you allow it, it is full of joy and sometimes very good cheese.

"And if it takes a couple of years
To turn your tears to laughter
I will do what I feel to be right"
- No more lonely nights, Paul McCartney
