A JOURNAL

About Rose:
I grew up in Singapore, lived in Melbourne but currently call London home. I love gastronomic adventures, especially while travelling. I stated writing at 17 to remember how it all began.

Sunday, 7.38pm

I went up to Cambridge on Friday night for a formal dinner at St Edmunds which turned into a late night/early morning at the Maypole with an intriguing cast of characters.  The following day, the four of us went punting down River Cam and kept warm under tartan blankets with hot chocolate in hand.  It was in every way a perfect day with even better company.

On Saturday, I rushed back to London to go over to Cara's where we had Indian take-out at her new place.  And on Sunday afternoon, I sought respite from the wet winter weather with a decadent afternoon tea at Fortnum & Mason with Aisyah.

There is something about being here, with people who are just as eager to discover, explore and engage with the city.  I never really found this to be the case in Melbourne.  I have been thinking a lot lately about how long I might want, or be able, to stay in London.  It mostly depends on work and I am really hoping it will pan out.  In the meantime I will make the most out of it.

"I feel alive and the world it's turning inside out
I'm floating around in ecstasy
So don't stop me now don't stop me
'Cause I'm having a good time having a good time"
- Don't stop me now, Queen
