About Rose:
I grew up in Singapore, lived in Melbourne but currently call London home. I love gastronomic adventures, especially while travelling. I stated writing at 17 to remember how it all began.

Spring has blossomed into the Summer and the heatwave in London continues to remind me of my little sojourn through Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand the past couple of weeks.

Most of Spring was spent studying for qualification exams and with that out of the way, I celebrated my birthday - first boating around Stratford upon Avon and then with friends over brunch the following day.  There was then a flurry of activity seeing the Alaia exhibit at the Design Museum, dinners bursting with laughters and an evening at the Proms.

I can already feel Summer slipping by, not least because the last couple of weeks was spent reconnecting with family and friends in Singapore, and having adventures in Malaysia and Thailand. All the while sharing it with my forever person. I am trying to cling on to the memories, of us biking through Pulau Ubin, tucking into fish head curry with my parents in Penang, swimming in the azure waters of Phuket or watching the clouds roll over the forest canopy in Khao Sok from our balcony.

I have returned to London while he stays on for a job and it feels as if I have left a part of me behind.  Nothing feels quite the same. Which has made me realise that while we may have spent many moments in our relationship navigating which city we should live in, the careers to pursue, and the adventures to aspire to, I now understand that it will all do as long as I'm with you.  I hope you will find your way back to me.
