A JOURNAL

About Rose:
I grew up in Singapore, lived in Melbourne but currently call London home. I love gastronomic adventures, especially while travelling. I stated writing at 17 to remember how it all began.

Saturday, 7.53pm

The year is winding down and I am finally finding that the weekends are freeing up so that I can wander off for a city break to Warsaw, find the time to dress the home for Christmas, or enjoy a quiet afternoon pottering around and reading.

It is feeling rather cosy at home at the moment. I am curled up on the sofa, a cup of darjeeling tea steeps next to me and I am poring through every detail of the pages of "Architectural Digest at 100".  There's the beautiful living room with a David Hockney painting (p58), the climbing roses which festoon the arbour in Liz Taylor's Bel Air home (p95) or the epitome of elegance that is Lee Radziwill's New York apartment (p223).

This time next week, we will be off to Bali and Singapore for Christmas and I can hardly wait!
