A JOURNAL

About Rose:
I grew up in Singapore, lived in Melbourne but currently call London home. I love gastronomic adventures, especially while travelling. I stated writing at 17 to remember how it all began.

I've emerged from winter into a very strange spring - one which began eyeing snowdrops blooming, to a world that has retreated into lockdown in the face of a global pandemic. The everyday routines of jumping onto the tube, jostling through the city crowd and catching up with friends at a restaurant, the gallery or a show all seems but a distant memory.

With all the time spent at home, the garden now feels like such a haven, potting new buds in the planters, watching the clematis creep across the trellis and enjoying a barbecue on days where the sun basks everything in a warm glow. It gives me something to look forward to and to check on. Does the jasmine need pruning? Will the bees pollinate the runner beans? How long until the roses can be clipped to adorn the flat?

Stay safe London.
