Sunday, 10.17am

Sundays feel the hardest. They are the days where mornings are spent lazily in each other's company and we are drawn out only with the promise of scrambled eggs on sourdough toast. We then often find ourselves pottering in the garden before letting the rest of the day unfold before us.

I try to muster the courage to be strong to safeguard my sense of self and my long-term happiness. However it takes very little to feel the gut wrenching agony where I can scarcely draw breath from being reminded of what used to be. Innocuous words like burrito, water bottle, koala, tremolo, pingu, carry with it fond memories and a reminder of the life shared. Seeing advent calendars or a jar of branston pickle similarly is heart clenching.

I am trying to get through this, understanding I deserve to be happy with someone who will fight for me. But inevitably find myself wishing he finds his way back to me..
