10.50pm, tuesday

i was waiting for jamie oliver to start today and caught a bit of "my best friend's wedding".. i love movies with great soundtracks.. those with lots of oldies.... "you've got mail" had great songs too.. and oh "i am sam" they used beatles soundtracks so that was real good.. anyway, (sorry i digressed).. it was a really heart wrenching show.. and i was talking to my sis about the show over dinner and she told me the reason why the movie struck such a chord with me was because i saw julia robert's character in me- consciously or sub-consciously.. that i would never pursue what i want, preferring instead to remain passive until i was faced with a dire situation, only then would i go for it coz i was afraid of rejections.. that i'm afraid of change, that's why i often choose to remain in my sphere of comfort as i'm much too apprehensive to face failure. made me think. i'm not depressed/upset or anything.. i just started wondering whether i was really like that.. did i let many opportunities in life hitherto slip by, simply because i was too afraid of the outcome? i wish i was braver. well, in any case i'm far too tired to really ponder about it.. really should find a way to make my studying more productive.. *sigh* well, i know i always end off with a song that aptly describes what i'm feeling.. but i'm gonna choose this song coz it's so beautiful.. it doesn't relate to anything i'm feeling.. but it's a great song.. try listening to it. you might like the cover tony bennet did of it coz it's slower.. but i bet you'll love it anyhow. if you don't well you're a git :)... everyone loves frank sinatra.

Some day, when I'm awfully low,
When the world is cold,
I will feel a glow just thinking of you...
And the way you look tonight.

Yes you're lovely, with your smile so warm
And your cheeks so soft,
There is nothing for me but to love you,
And the way you look tonight.

With each word your tenderness grows,
Tearing my fear apart...
And that laugh that wrinkles your nose,
It touches my foolish heart.

Lovely ... Never, ever change.
Keep that breathless charm.
Won't you please arrange it ?
'Cause I love you ... Just the way you look tonight.

Mm, Mm, Mm, Mm,
Just the way you look to-night.

-just the way you look tonight, frank sinatra
