About Rose: I grew up in Singapore, lived in Melbourne but currently call London home. I love gastronomic adventures, especially while travelling. I stated writing at 17 to remember how it all began.

after 11 hours, i'm finally done watching anthology... (don't worry andy, jolene! i wanna catch it all over again!) hmm it got pretty sad towards the end when they started splitting up.. but more importantly it was so good to know how each song came about.. and the thing about the beatles is that you're likely to think little of their songs the first time you hear them. but it grows on you. and it is one of those things that you grow to love increasingly because, well, it's simplicity and sincerity draws you towards it. no two songs are ever the same and each song has so much of a history to it, esp the later songs. don't get me wrong.. i don't worship them blindly.. granted, songs like "yellow submarine" are a little inane but it takes you away onto that little journey where "Everyone of us has all we need, sky of blue and sea of green, in our yellow submarine..." isn't that what music is all about? taking you away.. and not just blowing you away..
venetia left for aussie today and it was bittersweet. i'm really happy she's doing what she wants.. yet it almost seems cruel that we have to part just as i began to catch up on the last 2 years with her and the rest of them.. where sitting on a bench with the wind blowing through our hair, looking at the stars, really made me understand what shakespeare meant when he wrote "silence is the perfectest herald of joy" and yet we'll get together soon enough i'm sure. the beatles did. :)
i wish i could have just caught just one performance of the beatles live. shea stadium.. well maybe i might catch john mayer in april instead IF i can get any day off from work to go downunder. jin hua! bangkok in march alright? i'm putting my iPod on hold for our shopping spree so we MUST go! when i met up with dayanah for dinner on friday, we ended up walking past tj and i couldn't resist taking a walk through the school. i mean they had house function going on anyway and walking around school at night made.. made everything more vivid. i miss the school so much. never thought i would say that.. do d/l "i will" by the beatles it's really good. that's it i guess.. good night, and happy valentines.
"And in the end, the love you take is equal to the love you make.."
-the end: abbey road, the beatles
