About Rose: I grew up in Singapore, lived in Melbourne but currently call London home. I love gastronomic adventures, especially while travelling. I stated writing at 17 to remember how it all began.

was surfing the net and the mini iPod is darn cute.. have many many things to buy but i'm running out of money already.. hmm.. tend to buy on impulse so i end up buying things i didn't intend to initially.. btw, jamie oliver has a blog.. he's such a darling! just go have a look. (my links) hmm i was browsing though some online auctions the other day and they had this yellow submarine (you know.. beatles) lava lamp! it's really really nice.. :) the beatles website has just begun advertising the sale of "the beatles: first US visit" dvd.. and i haven't even bought anthology yet.. which i still can't get hold of.. i really don't want to get it online.. i don't think purchasing something from the other side of the world with a credit card online will put my mom at ease.. *hmm* pay day is coming soon.. monday monday monday *chants*
it's daunting really- growing up. i wonder what's in store of me.. i did one of those online quizzes just now and was pretty surprised at the results. i guess if i were to take that very same test just 2 years ago, a very different result would appear. i'm sure a quiz of 9 questions cannot actually determine who and what i am. but, the very fact that i am bugged by it suggests that the worry stems not from the quiz but a deep seated fear- that i've changed and am afraid of losing myself. it's been that recurring thought the past week.. and to say the very least it had me thinking, a lot.. and yet, somehow, the worry seems to dissipate with every sip of tea my mom has just made for me. maybe it'll all go away.. i might not need my choc choc ice cream to numb myself.. i'll enjoy the simple things in life.. friends that matter, listening to my favourite songs, trying to spot orion's belt on a cloudless night and perhaps... even the kids in school- who remind me so much of the alacrity i once knew *sigh*... i love listening to the beatles and sinatra....everything's gonna be alright.. :)
