7.47pm; wednesday

hari raya was surprisingly better than i thought. managed to go to a few houses and really be in that festive mood. it's nothing like being at home but was comforting nonetheless. shopped with nick for his ski stuff monday morning then spent the afternoon at ikea contemplating each buy, trying my best to rationalise and reason with my dad that we did need more furniture. i didn't get round to buying the twinkle lights though. i can't wait to twine it round the the railings on the balcony and then flick the switch on and watch everything light up *smiles*. we went to st kilda's on tuesday and the weather was sooo good. both our ice creams were dripping and luna park was closed so we just sat ourselves on a bench, watching people soaking up the sun, frolicking on the sand as we ate our ice creams. happy twentieth ;) dinner was great, and so were the snags (even without the onions). then spent today showing dad around and so 4 of us went for a train trip, puffing billy, at belgrave, with our legs hanging out of the steam train... well except for my dad. dad's flying off tomorrow and it won't be long till mine on the 7th.. and yours next tuesday :(

it's such a shame for us to part
nobody said it was easy,
no one ever said it would be this hard"
