11.03am; friday

tgif? well i suppose. i'm due to meet my mom for lunch in a bit then off to lt india with ven and then dinner with sooch, mel and hui suan. so i guess it's a full day ahead which probably translates to a sore back at the end of the day. went to the specialist for my back and it's still bothering me because there's nothing much to be done until i start my physio in july. the doctor was really funny and the only thing more amusing was probably the trainee doctor on his housemanship (i surmise) taking copious amount of notes as i started telling what was wrong with my back. he had the most blank of looks, and never let out so much as laugh, cough or smile. creepy dude. on another note, i went back to tj yesterday, had lunch with mrs yong and caught up. i told shocked her with updates on fellow classmates and also reminisced for the larger part. i suppose when someone has seen you through the 2 more gruelling years of your life, is told of your experiences embarking onto uni, they pretty much see you grow (albeit in snapshots). it's interesting what they say. they have a more holistic view of things and i can only appreciate the time mrs yong took talking to me and reassuring me. and then there was ms j, lofthouse and the evasive mr elwin. i am reminded of the sometimes painful lit sessions and also those great classes in geog s. i remember the time we had pizza and mr elwin regaled us with stories of him as a lifeguard(!) back in england. we cast all past exam qns aside, having instead pizza and stories for that hour. well, those were the days, i won't go hankering after them but they were such comforting times.

"a dream will fly the moment you open up your eyes
a dream is just a riddle, a ghost from every corner of your life
up in the balcony, all the romeo's are bleeding for your hand
blowing theatre kisses, reciting lines they don't understand.."
