rozzie flew down from perth on saturday and i've been taking her around over the weekend. it's been lovely catching up and just hanging out, taking it slow and just chilling. we had brunch today at acland st and she had amazing pancakes that tasted like churros (!) while i had a huge fry-up of scrambled eggs, grilled tomatoes and spinach on sourdough bread with baked beans and hash browns. that was quite a mouthful, literally. it was nice and sunny, but at times quite chilly as the winds blew and toussled our hair as we strolled down the boardwalk looking at crafts and later, by the beach. we're home now and i'm already in my PJs just in bed under the covers with the laptop and am actually looking forward to doing some work. it's one of those lovely lazy days and it's splendid.

"The reeds and brass have been weaving
Leading into a single note
In this place where your arms unfold
Here at least you see your ancient face
Now you know.. now you know..
The cadence rolls in broken
Plays it over and then goes"
- one flight down, norah jones
