sunday; 12.17am

it was so busy at work on friday. the vollies had to field so many calls from irate supporters who had not yet received their x'mas cards. but i guess the morning tea to celebrate the holidays more than made up for the crazy day. it was just a simple platter of berries, cheese & crackers and muffins & cookies. but the best part was when we were informed that oxfam unwrapped had raised $2.6million and it was definitely very very cool to be part of, however tiny, such a great thing. knocked off at lunch time and headed down to the city for some christmas shopping. it started raining in the late afternoon and it was a good respite from the summer heat. howerver, despite the rain, there were still long queues waiting for the myer x'mas window display and a rush of last minute shoppers. i normally hate crowds but somehow, with the light of day beginning to dim, and the stars suspended across bourke street, it seemed quite alright. happy holidays everyone.

Waiting to take you away.
Climb in the back with your head in the clouds,
And you're gone."
