sunday; 11.15am

it's been a really hot january so far with temperatures going into the high thirties. the heat just stings and the sun is scorching like someone put a huge magnifying glass over me, intensifying every ray. it's been a pretty good week despite the laptop dying on me, crazy admin for world mun and did i mention the weather? was at the summer night market at victoria market and it was such a pity that jenny & chris had to give it a miss. the food was really amazing from dutch pancakes to fresh fried breaded scallops. along with the trinkets at each store and live bands playing out in the open, it was really great albeit far too warm a night to stay too long.

summer school resumes next week and to ease into it i'll be going for the aami classic in kooyong with yolanda, the perfect prelude to the aust open :) lined up are all the seeded players with federer (!), nalbandian, ljubicic, roddick (!), haas, stepanek, andy murray (who'll be an interesting watch) and safin. i'm sure i'll be having a ball of a time (pun unintended).. now only if i can figure out how i get to kooyong.

"spectacular, spectacular
no words in the vernacular
can't describe this great event
you'll be dumb with wonderment"
- spectacular spectacular, ost moulin rouge
