Some songs become an anthem for a phase of your life.   Pete Murray's "Opportunity" reminds me of a cobbled stone pavement in The Hague.  "Wonderwall" brings fond feelings of someone dear to me.

I remember the day that I re-heard this Fleetwood Mac classic.  It was 2012 and I was with my sister in San Francisco.  We were sitting in a restaurant having dinner and this song came on.  I had not heard it in years.  At that time, I had a weary heart.

Stevie Nicks wrote "Landslide" when she was 27 right before she and Lindsey Buckhingham joined Fleetwood Mac.  She knew she was on the cusp of something and needed a change but with it came this great sense of uncertainty.

I want to be able to look back someday and understand that I did actually need to break away and that it's ok to be feeling this way because I'm getting older too.  There's the fear that comes because for so long you've built your life around a place, the people in it - it can be hard to tear away from all of that, and then let go.   Figuring out how to make that change happen hasn't been the easiest but I need to remember that it is worth doing and have faith that it will pan out.  Can I handle the seasons of my life?

"Well I've been afraid of changing
Cause I've built my life around you
But time makes you bolder even children get older
I'm getting older too"
- Landslide, Fleetwood Mac
